WORKSHOPS

Towards Energy Efficient Manufacturing

Led by: Andreas Wachter

DSC_8502_quadr.jpg

One aspect of advanced manufacturing systems and an essential key factor on the road to a sustainable industrial production is the efficient use of resources and energy. However, reality shows that potentials for energy efficiency often remain unutilised - with consequences such as higher energy costs, lower competitiveness and additional greenhouse gas emissions. In order to counteract this, this workshop is intended to offer young engineers an introduction to the field of energy-efficient production and raise awareness of potential in their own (future) work environment. The technical insight into the topic is supplemented practical examples and tips on how to implement efficiency measures successfully.
